In 2024, teachers earned 73 cents for every dollar their similarly educated peers made, on average. A record low.

In 1996, the gap was much smaller: 94 cents to the dollar. We can fix this—by investing in public education.

Feds reject Rochester Public Schools’ appeal for mental health grant, citing DEI Rochester’s superintendent had pleaded with the government to restore the grant, arguing the funding was critical to addressing the district’s mental health needs.

Ridiculous.

We served over 151 million (!) free meals to students last year, saving families an average of $1,000 per student.

Students should be able to focus on the classroom, not on where their next meal will come from. We’ve made that a reality in Minnesota.
