The daughter of a Black-Jewish couple we know is making her life in Israel and is quite happy. My daughter, with the same heritage, has no plans for that. She's proudly Jewish, not religious, but you can see the principles in how she lives and treats people.

It is no surprise 61+ widows over are the fastest growing group of homeless people. Death of a spouse wipes out 2/3 of SS income. Even if there is a pension, the survivor's benefit is not much. For those who never had pensions or 401ks it's brutal. We've built too little senior housing for the need

We started careers when there were separate listings for women, inflation was double digits & we made 60% of what men made for the same work. Our savings were wiped out in 5 recessions plus 2008 & COVID. In retirement we get 1/2 of our spouse's SS or our own based on decades of that 60%.

My cousins, just two kids, received private educations in Asbury Park because they could not be across the hall in classrooms with white children.

I think speaking up about this is important because the people who lived it are dying off and people born in the last 50 years believe it didn't happen

Also maintaining 100 ft from the doorclear of electioneering. Need space for lines if turnout is high.
