When will we learn that they NEED NO JUSTIFICATION. It has been apparent since Merrick Garland wasn't voted on for the Supreme Court and it's obvious in everything that Trump does, they're going to do what they want to do. They couldn't care less about justification.

I think pardoning Hunter was wrong. And I'm sure I'd have done the same thing in Biden's shoes. But what amazes me about my tribe's reaction are things like these lines from today's NYT editorial:

At the end of the day, the only reason not to do it is to be able to say, look, we're different that the Republicans, we believe in the rule of law even if they've perverted it to get to this point, and that keeps being a loser for the Dems. I'd have done the same thing.
