oooh i like the light n shadows here- did you use a glow blend layer on top of the highlights?
anyway, i heavily fuck with the piercing aspect of the irises, choosing to have them shine in the dark rather than blend in with it really gives a dangerous vibe... def intentional on your part hehe

and to be fair, thata makes sense- its a rather cramped area where characters are forced to either interact or say nothing which can be a very good insight for where the characters stand with each other and at their point in the story.
