I am an Imbolc baby, born Feb. 1. Brigid, the Irish Goddess of Spring, also known as the Christinized St. Brigid, Bridy is an ancient Celtic goddess of hearth and flame, poetry, wisdom and healing. I set out an indigo-dyed scarf for her to bless as she passed over, warming the earth for the coming seasonal change. Wherever her feet and gown touch the ground, flowers spring up! 🌹🌸🌺🌷The cross in the background of the photo is from Ireland, made from dried grasses and gives protection from hunger and harm.
