Tonight I'm going to a friend's masquerade themed wedding, so naturally I got a wolf/coyote mask. Kinda fitting too, he was the first friend outside the fandom to know I'm a furry.

Oh dude, I feel that all the time. I always go out of my way to meet and talk with people, and afterwards I wonder if I was too awkward.

I've come to learn that more often than not, people enjoy/appreciate the interaction

Come to think of it, ska is really the Pokemon of music genres.

So many bands incorporate the word 'ska' in their names, and there are countless songs where the vocalists will just shout 'ska!!' I can't think of any other music genre that does anything like that.

Just now I put on a Megamax and was shocked to see how close the top tapes were to touching. Even though they run larger than most diapers, I've never had the tapes get this close before.

A bonus to the handful of friends who come across something bab-coded and share it through DM's while teasing me about it. It pushes all the right buttons and is super validating.

With all the talk about furries who despise babyfurs, I want to express appreciation for those in the opposite direction.

For friends who not only accept us, but are willing and eager to let us discuss bab stuff or share art with them.

I want to stress this isn't a knock on Jimmy either. I don't disagree with his points, and I've seen others in the community bring this stuff up.

I don't think these points feel 'invalidating' to me, but it makes me think about my purpose in the community and the artists and works I interact with.

I see my babyfur socials as a way to take a break from the real world and embrace my ABDL side.

I don't avoid art and stories with deeper meaning, but I don't overthink what I view or follow, and it makes me wonder if my intentions are indeed as shallow as a puddle.
