Here's an article idea for myself: How the fuck did UCSB get and hang on to Bremner and Flora?
Thanks Sam, very kind of you.
I wrote about a scouting lesson I only fully learned after writing one of my worst reports. This is a fun one: blogs.fangraphs.com/my-worst-rep...
What do you think the Tigers argument was during the arb hearing? "Yes, he won the Cy twice, and yes we've leaned him on like crazy, and yes he's broadly recognized as the best pitcher in the game... but did you know that in 2018 he had a start in college where he walked six guys in the first?!"
Parting thought: Boy TGA could be really good
They also continue to have a ton of hard throwers with round-down shape, control, or both. Historically, the coaching/PD group hasn't been able to max out on these guys and they both have a lot already and also added more in the draft.
Downsides: They are very light on bats. Most of the top positional guys are there because of their defensive value. It's good to be good up the middle but Rada/Denzer have big questions to answer at the plate and they're the only two potential impact position guys nearly there.
And then the defensive catchers. Quintero and Juan Flores are in different ways very, very good defensive catchers.
They also drafted a lot of interesting pitchers last year. The high school guys -- Slawinski, Gray, Mitchell especially -- all have upside and things to like.
Positives: Recent DSL classes have been promising. Several from last year's crop made the main section of the list. And then Marlon Quintero and Hayden Alvarez from the year before both feature prominently.

I'd almost forgotten. But uh, yeah, we... we got that one right.
If you read all 11,000 of those words and thought 'that was cool but not really all that much detail, I have questions' then boy are you in luck because I'm chatting in half an hour! blogs.fangraphs.com/brendan-gawl...
Getting after it today at FanGraphs. First, Blue Jays list went live today: blogs.fangraphs.com/toronto-blue...
Not a deep system, but a fun one with sleepers all over the place.

Perhaps. Very different players.
Wild card: Juneiker Caceres. Kid can hit. Don't think he's super projectable but if he can find a way to get to a little more power he could rise on this list.
Sleeper: Robert Arias. Great frame, chance to be a five-tool guy. Needs to get stronger but has bat-to-ball and CF foundation to be pretty good. Long way to go, excited to see what he does in A-ball.
Wow, Jaison Chourio looks low! We might be wrong about him. But I don't think he's proven he has a good approach yet, despite all the walks, and an approach in and of itself isn't a carrying tool anyway. I'd like to see him return to High-A, think he has work left to do there.
Anticipating a few questions, so: Yes, we considered the injury history with DeLauter. It's just such a good mix of hit and power that we had to go nuts on him.

Good system, very deep. Considered more than 100 players, wrote up 80 or so, and it took forever. I hope you read every word! Or that you treat it like reference material, whatever works for you.
I'm awful at social media now but for @fangraphs.com today I wrote the Dbacks Top Prospect list: blogs.fangraphs.com/arizona-diam...
Anthony Rendon posted 4.7 WAR/162, think the Angels have to be happy with that.
