When in Central Florida, you find a tiny Neonella camillae. I don't make the rules πŸ–€

Water hickory bark seems to be a happy place for some of my favorite little silly guys. The pseudoscorpions alone are worth the effort. Look at them πŸ₯Ή all 3 of these together could fit in a single sesame seed.

Love how Habronattus decorus boys turned down the fancy legs/faces and floof of many of their genus cousins, and went with a classic black color scheme but highlighted by a brilliant shiny magenta ass. 🩷 Saw a couple of these boys today, no blending in with the leaf litter.

Extremely large scarlet hibiscus flower, 5 petals and long central bits like a bottlebrush. Leaves are in sets of 5 like marijuana, but providing a very different high (getting to see a giant red flower)

I hadn't been to one of my favorite secluded spots (deep into a trail, and the one branch of which that ends at the St John's River) in mid-summer because it's usually flooded mosquito hell, but it was worth the trek this time because GIANT RED FLOWER 😍 (Scarlet rosemallow, Hibiscus coccineus)

That's how it always felt to me too. Icky, dehumanizing. Though that argument usually came up in the context of Christian gender roles, where it's also Icky and dehumanizing πŸ˜‘

It's just bizarre to me, the framing of that whole lonely men/men aren't getting laid enough discourse. I'm not a man and it seems I never was but I did try to be, and this whole Problemβ„’ just seems deeply made up in the most bad faith way. Work on yourselves, jfc

But even if I hadn't met someone, how is that the fault of Women? I'm not looking to date Women, I'm looking to date A woman, a person. Wtf is some influencer dude gonna have to say to me that relevant and helpful to that. They don't know me or her.

And I grew up under a rock and was very emotionally stunted from a shitty upbringing. But I figured if I was doing things that I loved and working on myself and learning to comfortable with my own person that someone I'd meet would be into that. And that proved correct. β™₯️

It's just weird to me that we've normalized asking deeply personal advice of people or entities that do not know us? Like, it was never remotely in my mind to type "how do I date girls" into YouTube or whatever when I was single and sad about it. The very premise of the question seemed wrong to me.

Love seeing a fresh round of "men aren't getting laid enough" discourse going around, and being reminded that the one time I ever had a man hit on me, he pretended to be interested in what I was doing just to proposition me and then not take my repeated No's for an answer, so no I don't really care

Ian Dunt made a dogshit take and story about getting liberals "laid" and when everyone told him he sucked, he said 'all your anger feeds me' but more diplomatically and then Hailey Piper said you didn't frame it as romance and attraction you framed it in regards to a belief of men's unique entitlement to sex. You even anticipated how that would come off and then blame others when you get the exact response you lressntes for

Yesssss I will enable this. Also, Phidippus octopunctatus is perhaps the largest in the US if I remember correctly, and ranges out there. You know, if you need the full experience of Newton's 3rd Law of giant salticid locomotion.
