🧡On May 28, hours after Nevada’s workplace safety agency served notice of more than $400,000 in fines to Elon Musk’s $5.6 billion tunneling startup the Boring Company, the phone rang at Nevada governor Joe Lombardo’s office.

Boring Co. president Steve Davis was on the line

I love that the news states it as if it was real. β€œThis is how it works”. nuts.

I have made some πŸ’° out of crypto using bitpanda and whatever 3 different exchanges - stuff I bought in '17 or whenever that boom was.
What a pain to figure out taxes when those platforms are total πŸ’©shows. I have to write own statements for taxman that trust me bro, this was the cost.

When I lived in LA my last vehicle was a pickup. This was my neighbour's truck and mine. Mine was red.

(1990 2wd, no power steering or power windows 😁)

I had to use LLM to read that.

β€œGetting punished for an edgy joke is normal old-school forum behavior. Anyone getting overly upset about it is taking things too seriously and should calm down.”

And I fully agree.

And it's totally reasonable to not allow jokes that are worded as literal threats.

I get that she was not making a real credible threat (like most people typing greats that aren't jokes).

But this is not an unreasonable line to draw.

This is true when comparing to whole fleet which includes a lot of 20 year cars that haven't been maintained etc.
Tesla is actually quite bad. In IIHS fire risk report they rated horribly but that was years ago when quite few Teslas existed.
Tesla fires are also very fierce.

yeah I know here everything comes off as an attempt to refute or fully agree. Didn't particularly mean either - just participating I guess.

Didn't mean to suggest you claim it's all problem free.

It's a LLM, this can be equally made up nonsense.

Deloitte is giving the Australian government a partial refund after it used AI to deliver a report with errors The Big Four firm "confirmed some footnotes and references were incorrect," the Australian government department told Business Insider.

Are you now referring quality checks with LLM used professionally or other professional AI processes?

Former, see below.

Latter is also very problematic - we've seen many examples of built in biases (say credit evaluations) and hard to check the black box.

And even if you train them with quality data you get a lot of garbage back.

Fully agree that people thinking AI = LLM is a problem.

Maybe they were waiting for new variant.
It might actually create a small bump but I don't see how Y will succeed in Chinese market. It's late 2010s origin shows despite the facelift and variants.

That is a good graph but I want to remind that it is an index.
Intuitively you can get a feeling that Tesla sells 1/4 of BEVs in China. Not so. Tesla's market share among BEVs is ~5%, i.e. 1 in 20.

I sold most of my gold mining stocks over past few months. Had bought Silvercrest maybe seven years ago, Coeur Mining bought it. I meant to dump it then as I thought large Co. would have less upside. Procrastination served well as later Coeur ran up like mad. Finally 1200%-1600% gain. Best for me.

I don’t know. Maybe the market hoped Democrats had balls to bring back some sanity but turns out King can do whatever he wants. Maybe not so irrational.

I was a minor gold/silver bug before the financial crisis of β€˜08. When nothing unfolded at all like the doomers had predicted I learned.
