TLDR: I love making art and tattoos and have spent a long time trying to get into the community and want to let folks know that it’s ROUGH, and EXPENSIVE, and you have to know someone to even get in.

That is to say: it’s a very inclusive culture, getting an apprenticeship is pretty difficult unless you know someone who has the time and ability to mentor you (and not rip you off). Depending on where you live it’ll be at least a year of an unpaid internship. And there may be non-competition clause
