I understand why we shut down American airspace for a few days after 9-11 to avoid a repeat attack but imagine shutting down American airspace to avoid releasing the Epstein files.

I need to dig into the precise wording of the package, but without profitability requirements for those robots, robotaxis, and even FSD subscriptions, Musk could just pump the stock, hit those goals in totally unprofitable ways, cash out, and leave the burning bag of shit in shareholders hands.

For example, if Tesla simply holds its car business around the 2m unit/year mark without major gains or losses it will hit that 20m unit cumulative delivery mark in a few years on Autopilot. There are also lots of tricky ways to claim 1 million robots/robotaxis without creating real value.

It's important to note that the main goal of increasing Tesla's market capitalization is one that Musk is already fundamentally incentivized to achieve, given that he's the largest shareholder.

Some of these operational goals are going to be almost impossible to hit, but others much less so.

The AP tracked down details of some of the people killed in President Trump's military strikes on drug smugglers he describes as narco-terrorists.

They were, with one exception, not high-level criminals. One was a fisherman. One was a bus driver; another a taxi driver.

Read this thread. This is what @katmabu.bsky.social was protesting, and why she repeatedly says getting beaten up by ICE outside is nothing compared to the torture and crimes being committed inside Broadview. These thugs must be held to account.

β€œMy fundamental concern with regard to how much voting control I have at Tesla is, if I go ahead and build this enormous robot army, can I just be ousted at some point in the future?... I don't feel comfortable building that robot army unless I have a strong influence.” – Musk, arguing for $1T

The Shutdown of U.S.A.I.D. Has Already Killed Hundreds of Thousands The short documentary β€œRovina’s Choice” tells the story of what goes when aid goes.

One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

the deaths Musk has caused have had no bearing on his personal standing. It is ghastly to contemplate that no one in the press interrupts his latest announcement about some new waifu robot to ask β€œwhat about the children you took food and medicine away from?”

Musk may have lit the match for USAID being destroyed but, so far as know, there has been nor material effort by Congress to restore funding.

The Tesla shareholder proposing an investment in XAI frames the matter in terms of Tesla's leadership in "automonous" (sic) technology, asserts that "the singularity" is night, and thanks "Tesla Boomer Mama" for her support, in case you were wondering how the Tesla shareholder meeting is going

Most of the Tesla shareholder proposals are like "Tesla is an incredible company, but maybe we should make sure we have some basic accountability or make sure we aren't exploiting child labor" and the board recommends against all of them
