Okay. Spent my lunch break watching YouTube videos about tilt, and think I’m finally gonna pick up THE INNER GAME OF TENNIS to read. I’m tired of getting in my own way. Alongside training the skills I need, I need to find a way to tell my tilt to stay in the passenger seat.

I loved writing my lonely yearning sapphic girls… I can’t believe this book will be out in the world 5 months from now to the DAY. 🥹

I love when I post a clip like, “I played really bad because I was annoyed. Not getting annoyed is hard.” And some genius in the comments lets me know, “You played so bad!” Thanks! I had no idea.

This guy was 1500s MR, but I was already having a no good very bad terrible night.

I obviously understand intellectually that the solution to stuff like this is strictly walk slowly and anti-air, nothing else.

But how is anybody supposed to just not tilt when people want to play like actual drunken cavemen. Worst night of ranked in like 6 months.

I’m nearly 1660 and haven’t made an intelligent gameplay decision in 6 hours. I don’t know how to stop doing this to myself. I’m exhausted, I’m upset, I’m angry mostly at myself, and this is the opposite of progress. It feels hopeless. I know I’m not, but I feel it anyway.

I think tonight is the most depressed I’ve felt about this game in months

1,000x more embarrassed of the way I talk to myself than I am of the gameplay. Everybody plays bad sometimes. I don’t have to add the additional layer of treating myself like a complete failure.

I need to stop going on these tilt streaks where I sincerely believe I have no skill to show for all the work I’ve put in and I’m embarrassing myself. I’m not even losing to my opponents. I’m losing to believing I suck.

On a purely positive note, I HAVE HIT 1,000 FOLLOWERS ON TWITCH!!! I wish I hadn't immediately followed it with terrible, tilted gameplay and being so mean to myself, but I am very proud of all the progress I've made and thankful for every single one of you.

Got out of pools in a (small, 17 fighters) online for the first time with a strong 2-2 in Lightning Dome! Did replay analysis with ZZZ of both painful losses after.

Unfortunately, I continued playing angry without a break and rage-tilted away 50 MR. So much yelling.

Ranked isn’t always a hellscape. Ran into the same Aki 4x tonight and just kept losing to whip, fireball DR, neutral jumps, and that heavy kick. Got so tilted I ate a double perfect. He accepted my custom room invite and apology for playing so bad at 1AM, said he’s been there. 😭

I’m nowhere near satisfied with my progress and I’m committed to going further, but I’m still gonna take this moment to look back and be proud. A big year.

Really puts into perspective, as well, how much more granular progress becomes at a higher level of play. I hit Master from rookie in under 5 months. It took a year to go from barely scraping 1700MR as a peak, to eventually maintaining 1800s as a peak by later in a phase.

Whether it’s music, books, video games—don’t be afraid to step outside your established routine and find a new favorite! 🤩 Which, if you’re like me, will become the only thing you listen to for months, again preventing you from discovering new favorites. Oops. Blame Tylenol. 😂

A year ago, I would’ve told you I rarely enjoyed rap music! 💀 And I don’t think that’s true at all.

I ended up blasting Doechii, Kendrick, and Tyler the Creator predominantly this year, alongside a healthy helping of Lady Gaga and a lot of SF soundtracks by Zaid Tabani. 🎧🎶

I really branched out with my music taste this year! 🤯 While it was never intentional, most of the bands on my regular rotation have ended up being white—especially because some of my most common genres are alternative and pop punk, which predominantly promote white bands. 🫠

Aspect crafting an inedible birthday cake at a wholly inappropriate time was the first scene of the draft to form for me. 🤖🎂

I will love this chaos gremlin forever and then some. 📖❤️
