I have been asleep more often than not today. No idea how I am this tired… wasn’t my first longer drive to a late-running local.

I should plan more open lobbies.

It’s much easier to be direct with people I know somewhat but it’s a lot of people I know hardly or at all, too, which throws me for a loop.

This isn't a subtweet about anyone specific--it's been happening more and more often lately overall. I would appreciate if everyone could remember that I am a person, there are only 24 hours in a day, and I can't help or fight everybody.

And if I don't know someone well or at all, I'm unlikely to drop everything I'm doing to run the set and give one-on-one advice in an online setting. At a major if I'm not busy and somebody says, "Want to play?", I play everybody. Online is different.

Especially if it's someone I straight-up don't know, I don't want to be that bitch who just says no. I also feel bad ignoring the tweet or the DM. But I can't just be constantly available to everybody at all times. I have no idea what the social protocol for this is.

Anybody can ask anybody for sets. I'm not "too good" to run the set with anybody, and I don't mind anybody asking. Hell, I've asked plenty of people for sets who didn't have the time to run the set with me or just elected not to. But how does one politely draw boundaries?

As far as sets go, everybody has limited time, myself included. Sometimes I just want to play ranked. Sometimes I wanted to run long sets with someone specific. Sometimes I'm just labbing. Sometimes I'm not on the game at all.

For one thing, I do paid replay reviews for YT channel members. I also do paid one-on-one coaching on Metafy. So it's not like I never offer to do those things offhand anyway just to be nice--I still do, often--but I can't do them for everybody for free.

Something nobody really prepares you for as you become "recognizable" in online FGC is that people just assume you are availble to run sets with them, do a replay review, etcetera.

And I have zero idea how to handle it without seeming like a bitch.

The phase started me out at 1591 MR, I played for 30 minutes and I'm up to 1621 already, with an above 50% WR. Maybe my consistency is improving? I don't think it'll take long to get back to Grand Master, at least.

Another 1-2 in WW. It's okay. Lost to Booce_Lee, went through the replay, learned a lot about button timing & his knowledge of the MU (he called out every slightly fake thing I did.) Then lost to my friend HizzleTheBadGuy... need to run long sets with you and work on Elena, man.
