This morning’s dawn.

I'm stuck in writing short fiction mode when I should be working on one of my two novel WIPs. I've completed four short stories in the last two months. That counts, right?

Happy anniversary to my soul mate. Thirty years.

You’re back.

Internet was down this morning due to an overnight outage. First time in more than a year and fixed by 8:30am. Whew. Pretty good for rural internet. Here's a sunset from this date in 2022. This year, dusk and dawn come with hazy skies thanks to fires up north.

Sometimes, when a day starts off with multiple frustrations, the only cure is to pull weeds in the garden. Better than pulling out my hair. (A sunset from August 2, 2022).

Suddenly, I can't get into Google or Microsoft or Facebook. My "old" passwords don't work. Microsoft tells me I don't have an account (I've had one for years). So hmm. Guess I'll figure it out eventually. Meanwhile, here's a sunset from 2021.

I use initials because I have the weirdest first and middle names ever. And I don't want to go to the trouble of changing my given names at this point. I have, however, forgiven my parents.

I read Wuthering Heights at age 12 in a car on the way from NY to Maine. Then we camped out, and I was positive I heard Heathcliff calling Catherine in the dark. Couldn't sleep.

On the way home, I read Jane Eyre. That was my Bronte summer.
