After which I did not receive another interview, but low and behold a fair amount of my story pitch and gameplay suggestions were included with the release of the sports game I would have been contracted to work on that year.
Fun fact about me. I once applied for a narrative position at a Playstation Studio, they had me write out a whole story mode summary with gameplay component suggestions. The interviewer praised my writing, realized I didn't come from the games industry, then proceeded to talk down and gaslight me.
