Wanted to share news of the publication of this research paper with @auerbachlab.bsky.social and others. Using the EARS mobile sensing platform, we found that being homebound more than usual was associated with increased risk for suicidal behaviors in high-risk adolescents.

We are investing a lot in increasing access to mental health services (and rightly so), but if we dont also focus on quality then it may not make a difference. My piece in Statnews.com outlines why this is a fundamental problem and how technology can help fix it.
