My background is tech writing/editing and training dev. I use it but have trust issues with the output - I’ve been doing this a while. Depending on what I’m creating, it can often provide a good starting point, but I end up modifying most of it. It can be sloppy. And my name has to go on there!

I have a college sophomore and HS senior and we talk all the time about going into AI-proof fields. Nothing will be fully AI-proof but you do need a human element for things.
