So lately I've been practising arpegios and playing lots of lyrical latin stuff on guitar and it's been incredible. I'm enjoying it more, playing better, etc. So good instinct on me to follow my gut!
I wasn't sure if the classical acoustic was the right pick because I always hated the guitar class ones but everytime I was at a store, I'd start with steel strings and eventually play classical. I realized, I don't dislike guitar, I just need to commit to flamenco technique and not picks.
It's interesting because I got a lot better at bass before I put it down for years, in that time I improved a ton in ways by shifting my mindset in a compositional way. I started to think more about how I wanted the pieces to fit and now going back, I'm having way more fun.
After not playing an instrument for years, I picked my bass back up maybe 5 years ago and I've been trying to keep up with it again because I truly miss it. For my bday this year, I got a cheap Yamaha classical acoustic guitar and I've been having so much fun. Playing music is like nothing else.
I appreciate that they're neither taking jabs at previous content or being apologetic for taking creative control into their own hands.
This is genuinely why so many franchises fail, they want everything to line up so hard that they kill their own writing to do it.
