Bought a 4 bed detached (80s build) with electric heaters and water heating. Made the investments upthread to make it liveable but the house was freezing and electricity bills were outrageous. Got a Worcester 40kw greenstar fitted by a relative ( vcheap) in the spring so will see what the winter

My gas boiler is very efficient so im biding my time.

My focus has been on generation (21 panels), storage ( 20kw) and insulation, having just invested in triple glazing along with loft insulation and boarding.
I'm currently exporting more kWh than I'm using so am hopeful the ASHP technology improves over the next few years so I can take the plunge.
