I've seen reports from several different sites. A young adult leaving their home willingly is just not going to get the same response as an elderly woman who was kidnapped during the night

If those people are only able to vote, I thank them for voting. Not everyone in the US can spend hours at polling location and that's okay.

We are given time off per policy, but it's worded in such a way that we're not really because we *could go before or after our shift so we're expected to do that. 🙄

People are scared of the consequences of that. Many cannot afford to not work for however long, nor do they have a supply of food on hand. I realize the alternative is more of *this* but others may feel a strike is hopeless, or they would lose jobs, homes, and lives by the time it is over.

Absence of evidence doesn't mean it's not possible. We may not have the abilities to evaluate these things, yet. Galileo was punished for claiming the earth revolved around the sun and spent his life on house arrest. We are always learning, so I opt to be open-minded about it. That's how we grow.
