This shouldn't be a thing that I even have to say.

When you become disabled there’s a few things you notice right away:

Ableism is everywhere.

People will abandon you. Even those you were certain would stick by you.

1. This week, news emerged that former trans athlete, student at Middlebury, and advocate for trans rights, Lia Smith, was found dead.

Her death was ruled a suicide.

But I argue that it's not only a suicide. Every trans suicide is a murder by those in power.

Just because prisons & jails CAN increase rates under these new rules doesn’t mean they SHOULD.

It'd be cool if people could get their own house in order before they villanize others. Its a shame people don't want to do actual self reflection.

Join or form a mutual aid network, a harm reduction org, a tenant union, a community care group, a rapid response team or something similar.

There's no one way to tally all of the abductions that haven't occurred because y'all were out there with whistles around your necks, making it clear that a particular corner or block or business would not fall prey to a quiet sneak attack.

Seems as if some white people never heard of "universal healthcare, childcare, wages or unions" before a white man named Bernie Sanders uttered these words. Maybe y'all should start listening to Black people a lot more. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I think instead of just running the occasional black candidates, the Democrats have an opportunity to do some pretty significant good outside the strictly electoral - use the political war chest to get black people housed in depressed areas. Go to food deserts and start a breakfast programs.

Now is the time to connect with your community. It is cheaper per person to buy and cook food in bulk. If you are able, organize community meals so that people do not go without food. Make sure they are ADA friendly, and welcome to all. Offer to bring leftovers to Shut In neighbours.

I've been getting told by No Kings "protesters" that never been to protests before that I should "touch grass" and I "could learn a thing or two about protesting" from them.

Ain't no white liberals allowing a history lesson on what actually works? Liberalism is a capitalist movement. Capitalism is fascist by nature. Whiteness is fascist by nature. White liberals are fascists. They aren't fighting anything. They need this system.

Not everything I do goes on social media, but I am organizing.
But at least I'm not just waving cardboard at an empty building and parading while patting my friends on the back for not doing anything.

It seems like you are less invested in doing good as you are in feeling good. And you don't care if it causes harm along the way.

These events were specifically designed to quell your frustration and keep you complacant.

You want to fight fascism, you want to fight authoritarianism?
Start doing that by ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

Storm the damn camps.

Every single one of you who went to a No Kings parade today, and saw the numbers, and then did not do a direct action as a group, failed to fight fascism. Yuo did NOTHING. You accomplished NOTHING. You had a parade and patted yourself on the back.

What does 'legality' have to do with anything?
As MANY have poited out. Slavery was legal. Jim Crow was legal. The entire colonization of the Western Hemisphere was legal. The Holocuast was legal.

If you want to fight fascism, you fucking fight fascism.

Look at all of these people, not actually fighting fascism with direct action. This number of people could have dismantled an entire concentration camp.
