I am sorting and purging my way through my house. I’m currently going through my tights. I have over 25 pairs of black tights. Apparently, before I went through leather bags, colored stemware, or cashmere sweaters phases, I went through a black tights phase. ADHD much?

I lived in NYC from March 97 to August 00. Love Story is again spotlighting that place and time. SATC first aired in June 1996, and I watched it each week in my Manhattan studio apartment. It’s the Ballard Goodwill. It’s so close to me, so I walk there and get more steps walking the store to look for items. I try to go on Sat/Sun/Mon when certain tags are on discount. I also go with an item in mind—yesterday was white jeans and I found a pair for $4!

Thrifting is the best! This outfit (including shoes, vest, hat) was thrifted—mostly from a thrift shop 10 blocks from me. I’m not going to buy new (other than intimates) for the next 3 months. Hit me up if you want to go thrifting shopping together!

People who want to get morally superior about how they hand-wash everything really gotta reckon with the fact that machine dish-washing uses considerably LESS water and emits considerably fewer greenhouse emissions than standard handwashing practices do.
