I’ve never heard of the third film, never seen the second, so I can’t offer an opinion on them.
But Home Alone is inherently a Christmas Movie, and Die Hard is not. In my opinion.

I would argue that Die Hard *2* is more fundamentally a Christmas Movie than the original, but all in all, it doesn’t really matter. We can all choose to celebrate the season in our own way.
