So close, yet so far

In Yoshi's Island, a cave background sparkles, but only when Yoshi moves. This is achieved in an inventive way by making many 1-pixel "pinholes" in the background through which a field of stars is visible. The parallax motion shows the stars intermittently, creating sparkles.

Picked up the "His Dark Materials" trilogy recently, readin em for the first time - about 1/3 or so of the way through the first one, lovin it..

I think the fact AM 180 was in the film was actually the primary reason I checked 28 days later out, and Im glad I did!!

Oh don't worry I am very familiar with Grandaddy, I actually first heard AM 180 on "Charlie Brookers Weekly Wipe", I LOVE "Under the Western Freeway", great album!

(ITS TRUE!!! It's such an amazing film)

Cool Beat

There's only really a small handful of films I've seen where the setting itself is treated like it's own character, and I feel like the UK is it's own character in this film. (Reminds me of how they treat the Zone in Tarkovsky's STALKER..)

its one of the most gorgeous looking, incredible, devastating films I've ever seen..
