Shamefully, I only have acrylic stands of Modernia: First Affection and Guillotine.
But I have a Scarlet figure coming in July.

Her liver was failing and her chest cavity was filling with fluids. She was uncomfortable, but not in pain. Her fate was already sealed, and any time left would have just been agony to watch her deteriorate.
I held her, from begining to end, close to my heart.

After that, we sat in our chair and reclined. She liked to lie on my chest, with her face right against mine. Sometimes she'd even clean my hair. I miss her dearly, but I know I made the right decision. She was having some mobility issues, which prompted the vet visit.

She was with me through so much of my life, and was absolutely a crutch to keep me going when I was down. I loved her with every fiber of my being, and not having her around is a painful void.
We spent our last day together taking a nap. She would cuddle up, and I'd have to keep an arm around her.

I was her favorite person. She always greeted me with loud, cute meows, trotting over to see me. Her favorite toys were balled up paper. I would throw them, and she would fetch them. She loved being under blankets and getting playfully roughed up. Her purrs got so loud she'd start coughing.

We were going to a local festival that day anyway. After relocating to the front pouch of that same hoodie, she spent the festival nestled quietly.
Vets found her to be healthy. She had a slightly deviated septum, and one of her eyes was just a touch lazy, but she was perfect.

//Neighbors found her in a paper bag on the side of the road. They wanted barn cats, but she was much too vocal for them. The plan was to take her to a shelter.... But on the way she crawled up my shoulder and made a nest in my hood... And that's when she became mine.

//I may go down, but it's never for long. Take the knocks, and come back harder.
