Right where Montenegro and Albania collide, there’s a corner of Lake Skadar so peaceful it feels like the world has stopped. Paddling here last week was special. Not only was it our last kayaking adventure of the season, but the lake was unbelievably still, like a mirror reflecting the sky. 💙

Our first hiking week here has just wrapped up. From forest trails to the Seven Rila Lakes, our group discovered a wilder, quieter side of Bulgaria.

This week, one of our Montenegro tours took an unexpected turn when the group came across a lost dog with an injured paw. Thanks to quick teamwork, he’s now received vet care and will hopefully be reunited with his owner soon. 🐶

This summer, our co-founder Emma spent time with the Malesorë shepherds of North Albania, an experience guests on our Family Peaks of the Balkans holiday and several of our Albania holidays get to have.
