I'm most excited about the 3 new "prequel" missions. I'm wondering/hoping they'll finally address the discontinuity between the Fall of Reach novel and the ending of Halo: Reach.

it's capitalism. capitalism is why all of this is happening. the rampant prioritizing of profit over the all else, from price and quality to dev health and well being.

I don't often use photo modes in games that have them, but every now and then when I do, I wind up finding a shot that turns out *awesome*. 😁

The recently proposed acquisition of Electronic Arts (EA) by the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia and private equity firms, including Jared Kushner’s Affinity Partners, will further concentrate power and wealth into the hands of a few gatekeepers while doing nothing to address the concerns of players and workers. EA is not a struggling company. With annual revenues reaching $7.5 billion and $1 billion in profit each year, EA is one of the largest video game developers and publishers in the world. EA’s success has been entirely driven by tens of thousands of EA workers whose creativity, skill, and innovation made EA worth buying in the first place. Yet we, the very people who will be jeopardized as a result of this deal, were not represented at all when this buyout was negotiated or discussed. We are particularly worried about the future of our studios that are arbitrarily deemed ‘less profitable’ but whose contributions to the video game industry define EA’s reputation. Needing multiple streams of income to stay afloat is a societal failure not a personal one. You should be able to afford a comfortable lifestyle with one job. You are not lazy.

The best thing you can do for your writing is to take good care of yourself. The work comes easier, faster, and better when you've got full bars.

Well today's off to an interesting start.

Thanks to a conversation with a good friend, I've realized a couple things.

1)There were more projects on my "Procrastinated Projects" list than I realized.

2) That three of them could just straight-up be given the axe.

So, back to the drawing board! 😆

Holy fuck... I just realized that in the space of just *ONE* WEEK (!!!), I've completed TWO of my Procrastinated Projects!

And if that weren't wild enough, I realized earlier this morning that the last time I actually completed a full project that meant something to me...
