I have just held a call with President Pedro Sรกnchez to express the EUโ€™s full solidarity with Spain.

The EU will always ensure that the interests of its Member States are fully protected.

Everyone who demanded a multipolar world is now getting exactly what they asked for.

It means the return of spheres of influence and brutal regional wars.

The rules are gone.

Be careful what you wish for

That's what I've been doing for the past weeks - assessing the social, economic, and environmental impact of housing a couple of hundred people.

Then I put on the TV and it's like, "what plan? There's no plan."

"F--- you, we've got nukes."

Not all eyes are on the Middle East On Tuesday, three NATO surveillance aircraft operated simultaneously near Russiaโ€™s northern borders as the ballistic missile submarine Knyaz Vladimir departed from the Kola Peninsula for patrol.

While global attention remains fixed on the war in the Middle East, NATO continues to closely monitor Russiaโ€™s military activity in the High North.

I'm not against joining talks with France.

I just think this is going to be one of those incidents where they say one thing but soon realize that we can't afford to sit this out.

As a result, the part where we're supposed to debate and deliberate these things is squeezed or left out altogether.

03.03.2026 21:15 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yes, I totally agree with that assessment.

They don't like to end up being at odds with our European allies either, however, so we get this "hit the brakes", "slam the gas", "hit the brakes" motion -

Contradictory statements, rushed decisions, and backpedaling.

03.03.2026 21:15 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Plausible.

It's also possible that our government is feeling the pressure so today they're like "let's not rush this".

Tomorrow, there will be a statement along the lines of "we're going to do this and that's the end of the discussion".

If this is anything like the Greenland crisis, "no rush" means that we'll have a small nuclear arsenal by next Tuesday.

Trump was told in 2025 that Iran and his favorite country, Russia, are allies. He was taken aback by that, but forgot it before the meeting ended.

Trump and his administration are incapable of assessing the knock-on effects of their military campaigns.
