This made me think of the role of community/connection in literacy
Love this <3
That one really hit me too. I need to give it a reread!
I loved that series as a kid too! We used to watch the old live action films dubbed from Swedish as well
Happy #worldliteracyday ! What's one book that has made a difference in your life?
#books #raisingreaders #kidlit #literacy
My daughter LOVES tigers (and books too)--so this would be perfect for her!
I just reserved Sophie's Squash at the library. I think my kids will love it!
Thanks! It's been a while but so nice to be back :)
Thank you, Susan! They are slowly becoming less frail thankfully! It's so fun watching them grow :)
This sounds so fun!
Lovely
Love the personification
Beautiful
An ode to my lawn :)
What a lovely harvest!
"sun-grown vitamins"--love it!
This one gave me a smile :)
It's not too late for a #haikusaturday, right?
Here's one in honour of our new quail chicks:
Five make a handful
Tiny wings, thin legs, fresh fluff
New life--strong and frail
I love when the corvids get together!
It's been a while, but I just wanted to jump on to share a great #middlegrade #mg #kidlit read--Just Jerry: How Drawing Shaped My Life. This was such a beautiful memoire and I loved jumping into Jerry Pinkney's childhood world. It reminded me of why the arts matter so much. Highly recommend.
This looks gorgeous!
Who else is gearing up for #nanowrimo this year?
Thanks!
Thanks! I love seeing my kids enjoying nature :)
I’m not sure if #haikusaturday is a thing here yet, but I’m always happy to read and share #haiku :)
Here’s mine today:
Tangled hair blowing
Limbs and laughter, crunching leaves
Autumn explorer
I loved The Voyage of Turtle Rex—It was so interesting to learn about ancient turtles and the writing/art had a great adventure vibe
Our latest library haul—can you guess my 3yo’s current obsession? 🐢💚🐢
Thanks!
Thanks! I’d like to be included :)
There’s almost nothing better than a walk through the forest in autumn 🧡🍂🍁
