An old woman lies unmoving in a bed. It's like she's suspended in darkness.

A decrepit brick building in a grassy field. three of the windows have had giant grinning mouths painted over them, hence the title.

Was completely blown away by THE HOUSE WITH LAUGHING WINDOWS (1976), an absolutely vile and twisted giallo wrapped in the crumbling, rustic trapping of the folk horror genre. Really amazing if you can get your hands on a nice version.

The Entity looks off to the side, embarrassed. "Uh... What are we doing, precisely?" The Collector is shocked.

The Spirit throws her hands up in the air; "We're working on a meaningful comic for when we need it most! Although I argue that we're already doing it by acting on our creative impulse to communicate as a lifeform!" The Vessel sits there confused.

"Stop talking. NOW" The Collector scolds. "Make me, ya turd!" The Spirit jokes to him. The Vessel lends a helpful "Ooh!"

The Entity lays on an table with Xs for eyes. It looks like a game of Operation, and the other Council members are losing the game. "It shouldn't be too hard to set things right." The Collector pokes around. "They lost and forgot things for a long time. I picked up as much as I could, but some were broken beyond repair."

As The Entity clings to consciousness, the other Council members continue. "Do we have all the parts?" "Yep!" "Okay, then where is his brain?" "Oh! Erm..." "There's so much I can't remember."

"Whatever." The Collector huffs and crosses his arms. His cheeks are blushed.

The Spirit sighs affectionately at her compatriot. The Vessel makes the Rubik's Cube into a smile.

"I am their autonomy, you idiot!?" The Collector yells. The Spirit huffs and pouts. The Vessel continues to sit there and vibrate holding their cube.

The Collector and The Spirit bicker back and forth... "Don't call me an idiot! I am very smart." "Okay, yes, sorry, you are smart..." "Smarter than you!" "No dice, lady!" Narration continues: "I know these fools are all me in a way, but come on, why does everyone have a fire under the seat of their--"

The Entity wears a stoic expression. "I have never been inside the door."

The Entity's hands surrounded by black blobs. "I myself am known by a few names. I am The Entity of these alternates."

Flashback to the dinner room, The Entity sits down at the round table with the other Council members. "I have never told anyone about us before. We feel very new."
