After listening to this I’ve gone back and reviewed their back catalog. I’d forgotten how much I like Midlake.

The lad Barrett for me. Kept us in the game with 3 cracking stops in the first half.

Some great bands on that list that have completely slipped out of my mind.
I loved that Colder album, similarly The Delays and Delgados. Shack/Michael Head I’m pleased to say have remained a constant.

Just played your vid and for a moment I was back there. Superb indeed!

The tape version of In God We Trust was blank on the other side I recall. I think the label said “This side has been left blank for your own recording purposes”. In reality though, I think IGWT was such a short album it would have been pointless putting it on two sides of a tape 😀
