The taking of neighbors in communities around the country is so horrific.

And, right here - how can anyone justify this - violently taking a child care teacher out of her classroom?

Enraging is too weak a word to describe this.

Opinion | Women Are Losing in Trump’s Economy

“A surprising number of readers of my previous article asked if maybe more women are just realizing they “can’t have it all.” That only makes sense if by “it all” they mean the ability to eat, clothe and house themselves and their families.” By Jessica Grose

Expensive Back to School supplies are crushing parents & teachers. It’s no wonder they’re angry - Republicans promised to lower costs & failed. This is their economy and it might work for billionaires, but it doesn’t work for families.

Trump wants to eliminate a 105-year-old office that supports women Staffers see the proposal as part of an effort to fundamentally reshape America's workforce.

Today is the Women’s Bureau’s 105th anniversary, and what did DOL Secretary Chavez DeRemer get for WB? Zero. Literally. Her FY26 budget eliminates it. I talked to @motherjones.com‬’s @juliannemcshane.bsky.social‬ about how GOP attacks on WB hurt women 🧵 #SaveWB www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

I don't want this to get lost: after RFK Jr. finished with his tantrum, he ADMITTED he is blocking BILLIONS in federal child care funding.

That needs to change IMMEDIATELY.

We're worrying about the wrong thing. Low birth rate isn't the crisis: Child care is. | Opinion Making more babies by threat, faux incentives, or even force is not a goal or a solution. And it ignores the desperate, real needs of families.

BREAKING: We're suing the Trump administration to protect Head Start, which provides early education, childcare, and other services for low-income children and their families.

President Trump doesn’t have the authority to dismantle this vital program.

“Don't tell me what you value, show me your budget, and I'll tell you what you value.”

The Republican-led Congress is back in town to work on the budget. They’ve given a lot of lip service to supporting a family friendly economy, but now is when we really see their priorities.

At a time when our elected officials should be standing up for their constituents, Republicans in Congress are enabling Trump to impose tariffs on families and weaken our economy. We need to hold Republicans accountable and remind them who they work for: the American people.

As child care providers across the country struggle to keep the lights on, higher tariffs will force them to make difficult decisions btwn sacrificing their own pay, raising tuition, or closing.

Either way, families will lose access to care when they cannot afford to.

At a time when families are struggling to make ends meet with the high costs of child care, food, housing, and healthcare, the Trump tariffs will squeeze their budgets even further, leaving less money in their pockets.

Trump campaigned on lowering costs for working families and boosting our economy, but the tariffs announced by his Administration today will do the exact opposite.

Trump is waging an unprecedented attack on working families. Mass layoffs at the Dept of Ed will put school lunches & after care programs at risk. None of this makes the government "efficient," it just makes lives harder. My statement:

Trump said barely anything on one of the most critical issues for voters: how he will lower costs. I guess this is one place where his words lined up with his actions. He’s done nothing. He said nothing. #stateoftheunion
