I love his books bc of the dogs & bc he doesn’t have characters doing things like going into a basement w strange noises while unarmed or leaving a child who’s obviously in peril all alone, stuff like that.

So I hope he has had a change of heart, & I’m going to fall into this book for today.

Because of that, I’ve found myself uneasy reading his books. Last night, I started reading The Servents of Twilight. It was exactly what I needed.

I marveled again at how someone with such an exquisite respect and love of dogs could support cruel people.

My dad has stopped drinking water & eating. He’s dying. I sit w him for hours a day.

For weeks I haven’t been able to find anything that I would keep reading.

Last night I downloaded a Dean Koontz book. I love his books but not his politics. As of 2023, he still donated to Republicans.
