Hi, sorry for the absence. Taking some things that happened to me pretty poorly, despite therapy and time. Still working on commissions, thanks for your patience.

for example, there's no concrete idea whether we'd be paying $5k for merch costs for a con or ultimately $15k after all the changes in tariffs and de minimis flat fees and whatever the hell. it's not great.

i know a lot of policies are still up in the air but with how things currently are proposed, fat cat shirts would be impossible to make... we'd have to sell them for some stupid amount to even break even, let alone profit...

the shittalking after literally getting the refund they wanted (again, 3 weeks before their stated deadline) is a little baffling but honestly ppl can believe what they want to at this point

i mean i'm def never working with her again that's for sure LOLLLL

oh no sorry for the confusion, she delayed payment to start the com because they needed to pay for rent, but then hypocritically argues that it's fine that i lose her payment because i can make it up 3 months later. :(

while i was in my rights to enforce it she was so rude and unpleasant, and was, you know, still willing to finish it by h er GIVEN DUE DATE (and apparently still malding on her privtwitter post-refund) she's always been a hassle of a client and i just wanted to give her less excuses to fuss

never asked when the work should be started (they thought payment time was equivalent on baseless assumption), never requested any wips in the interim and yet was mad that was never provided either, just frustrating. "you'd make the money back at the con" cool you delayed payment for rent, too

had a client rage that their work (due march 25ish) wasn't done by march 8th and they want a refund because, even though i told them i could finish their work by then, they were upset i was also doing con art, and continued to complain multiple days later even after they were refunded the same day.

con season is in full swing workload wise + some VERY hopeful job news and my backlog is big enough that I know my limits but i can put a few more lil guys on the plate because they're not as strenuous as sketch sheets
