I should have worn boots for the amount of bullshit he spewed
It wasn't a malfunction. Someone detonated it. But yes, those vehicles suck
Happy new year. May your year have the smile of Willy, the energy of Brendan, the stability of Pascal, the acceleration of DJ, the ice cold finishing of Joel, the back flip of Largie, the leadership of Ethan, the prowess of Rodon and absolutely nothing at all of Victor Orta’s.
Such an awkward height to deal with. Too low to maybe head it, to high to use the boot.
Windy match. Was entertaining to watch. While up, we kept attacking and didn't sit back. All around, I am happy with the 3 points, clean sheet, and adding 4 to the GD. But if you ask some "supporters," we were shit against a shit team. Every player needs sold in Jan, we're going down, and Farke out.
What books about football are must reads that I don't already have? Finished "Inverting the Pyramid", "World Class", and "And It Was Beautiful". Starting "Soccer In The Sun and Shadow" next then I'll read "The Damned United".
A good point made. I didn't think about his skill transition to the Prem if we win promotion.
He's earned a new contract. He was treated poorly by the club in the past and he came back without fighting or grumbling. Just worked and has become of our best players. Reward the lad
Did this end up being taken away from Mateo and ruled an own goal?
Absolutely shocking how that's not a yellow at the least (would have been Whiteman's 2nd).
Should have been. That would have been his 2nd yellow too
Meslier drives me crazy. He can make the amazing saves that he shouldn't, but those simple ones close to his body go in every time
Like a proud tonton!
Tell me your story. I hope you enjoy mine. I'm no journalist or writer but I had fun writing it.
Just about 3 years ago I started following football (soccer) from here in the US. I got tired of telling the story of how I started, why I started, and who i support so I wrote a free substack and posted it. Give it a read to know the story.

Supporting Leeds United: "It's going to be cold, it's going to be grey, and it's going to last you for the rest of your life..." Groundhog Day (1993) #LUFC #MOT #ALAW #LeedsUnited #IconicFilmQuotes
This statement is true. Since starting to watch football and supporting Leeds it has been a roller coaster. And it's a ride I can't nor want to get off of
From what I've been able to read so far, it is brilliant!
Really excited to get my copy of #AndItWasBeautiful by @philhay.bsky.social from @mainstreetbooksdav.bsky.social! I can't wait to read it
To think Marsch sent this lad out on loan!
👌 "Precision pass! Could not miss!"
Jem of a find in the window. Class player
That Tanaka is pretty handy, no?
Not quite the 70 min mark. He'll wait until then, like every game
Meslier has 9 clean sheets on the season so far. That's because of the defense in front of him. He let's in too many goals that should be saved, but saves the ones that would be worldies. It doesn't make sense. He will get cooked again in the Prem. Need a new 1 when we go up.
