If you're buying zines, especially if you're buying for a library, you need to look at Ghoulier Studio: www.etsy.com/shop/Ghoulie... Here's just a few of many great titles.

I made such a sound, with my office door open, when I read the email about this in the new HMS 2025 Strategic Plan that a colleague paused to check on me.

Text beneath an image of the Indianapolis skyline reads:

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH, 11:00 AM
EAST 38TH STREET BRANCH
INDIANAPOLIS PUBLIC LIBRARY
5420 EAST 38TH STREET

Who decides how much rent you pay? Who pays taxes, and what do you get out of it? Who makes the rules about our lives?

Join City Councilor Jesse Brown to discuss how city government works and what you can do to change it.

Our City government makes laws and sets policies for others to follow. But it's also constrained by laws and policies created by the State and Federal Governments that are dictated by politics.ย  Have you ever wondered what could be done about the problems in your community and why those things aren't being done? Join City Councilor Jesse Brown to talk about how our local government works, how it affects our communities every day, and why and how you might want to get involved.ย ย

OMG, NO ONE read the article. Regardless of whether uniform policies are bad, this article is about enforcing already existing uniform policy that allows teachers to recognize which school a student is in. One of those uniforms IS ALL BLACK, and the article does not say that's going away.

Every single social post about what's "going on" at the library assumes the problem is unhoused folks or addiction related. Those are parts of it...

But a lot of the rise in burnout for staff is coming from suburban housed people who are filled with entitlement and broken social norms.

Do you consider tone policing respectful? 'Cause I'm not sure I do. What a nice, respectful conversation we could have had if you'd replied with, "My bad, explain?" Instead of "My pet cause is bigger than yours."

Permanent press is supposed to mean wrinkle-free, as in, you iron it once and it stays that way. So it's kind of a delicate cycle that won't put any creases in that you don't want to be there. But I haven't heard anyone use the phrase since the 1970s.
