While driving last night, I heard this song on the radio, immediately followed by “Blues Connotation”. It’s been decades since I heard Ornette on the radio, and then I got two in a row. Lucky night!

I had a dream it was the 80s, but I was in my twenties. Lost in a strange big city, I met Rosanna Arquette, who took me under her wing. She took me to some sort of gathering where she introduced me to her friends William S. Burroughs, Spalding Gray and Pee-Wee Herman.

I have one. Bought used at a record store where I think you worked at the time (mid-90s).

I am always struck by the belief that any human’s rights can be determined by whether other people agree they should have them or not — especially in a nation that believes its exceptionalism derived from its codifying of innate rights.

The most frustrating part is there is no need for this. A biopic worthy of Dylan already exists. It’s called I’m Not There, it’s from 2007, and if you haven’t seen it, you should. If you have seen it, watch it again, it’s the kind of film that rewards rewatching.
