The Minnesota Wild did not postpone their game like the Timberwolves did in the NBA. It was a missed opportunity to amplify the message that the public wants this to stop immediately.

Very disappointed the NHL didn’t postpone all hockey games today, especially the Panthers v Minnesota Wild in the Twin Cities. All teams should have protested, like the Timberwolves did in the NBA. I mean, what took place prior to the shooting is: a paramilitary secret police went out to terrorize a residential community, got stuck in the snow, and couldn’t retreat fast enough to avoid whistles and snowballs. And then they panicked and shot a civilian dead.

We’re murdering random people at sea. We’re murdering random people in Venezuela and Nigeria and so many other countries. We’re murdering random people here at home. Every one of these killings is a choice that nobody was forced to make and did not have to happen. We don’t need to be doing this.

Multiple videos of the shooting suggest this guy did not fear for his life, and was the aggressor in the situation. Pure escalation.
