I have more complicated beliefs on that whole angle of normalizing/legitimizing, but to be real, like, "normal" sex in advertising does more harm in a single campaign than a pervert making art aimed exclusively at other perverts will ever do in their lifetime. For another day I guess.

Specific pests should be exposed, but I am not going to be playing the game of drawing lines in the sand and measuring precise levels of purity against one another. I have my own line drawn, and it's the only one I need. I respect that folks have different lines, I align myself w/ like-minded folks.

I have no desire to be an internet cop about it, nor am I qualified to be a psychologist or therapist to determine/work through every person's root causes of fascination, capacity for harm, and ability/willingness to process it, so ultimately, ignore and move on is best practice

I'm personally a more negative person tbh! If I don't like some shit, I am not looking, and I have a lot of the common squicks, I am wary for the same reasons and exercising caution out of a fear of those kinds of individuals. And yet, time and time again, I am proven that-

B. negative folks need to be less eager to assign blame to the community and recognize that the people to blame are obviously the ones being exploitative, voilating boundaries, etc. and that your preferences don't really dictate the moral character of those who *don't* aim to cause harm.

In kink spaces, there are those who hide behind labels to exploit, normalize, and legitimize the tangible harm they cause, but I simultaneously believe that A. positive folks need to be more cognizent that these people exist, and do their due dilligence in not making them welcome

I think one major difficulty with any sex related space is that, because sex is necessarily a vulnerable thing, it's also always going to be a space rife with people attempting to ignore boundaries and exploit that vulnerability to cause harm, and it's a nature of it that folks prefer to ignore.

i also got kinda tired of the law vs chaos portrayals being a thematic retread of the last game with less interesting characters, part of the apparent appeal to me was that each game has slightly nuanced/different moral perspectives and character motives, but I barely cared about the cast of V

I have got to find a way to feel more enthusiastic about my own drawings beyond a conceptual level, I thrive on feedback but I don't like posting everything, and I feel at the cusp of escaping a nearly year-long burnout, but part of that is going to re-learn just liking MY stuff for myself lmao

I kind of want to solve the DM problem too (bluesky, twitter, discord, telegram, email all together is kind of nightmarish to manage and I can't believe I've put up with it for so long). I'll prob still be available on each just for max reach but I need *something* better.
