I believe that the Supreme Court of the United States has already ruled that the laws don't apply to him.

The fact that the government (Medicare for seniors) doesn't consider vision, dental, and hearing as "healthcare" is a bit disturbing to me. I go to the eye doctor once/year. The check for a diabetes in the retina is covered by my part B/G, but reading the chart to see if I need glasses, I must pay.

Dentists are not allowed to sell "insurance", but my dentist has a "plan" for $45 a month, only good at his office. Kind of like a "club". 2 cleanings/year, exam and x-rays. Everything else he takes 25% off. Maybe not the best way to go, but it works for me.

I spoke with an unbiased insurance agent before I turned 65 about dental. He said dental coverage for seniors is overall pretty lousy. He said you might as well just go to the dentist and pay the guy whatever he charges.

The commercials dangle that carrot like little or $0 premium, and they throw in things like dental coverage. Then people are surprised when they see things like co-pays, coinsurance, and deductibles.

I don't like the MA plans which have a "network" and also require approval prior to seeing a specialist. I have parts A/B/D/G and I really like it that way. Pretty easy peezy when I see a doctor.

Medicare advantage plans work very well as long as you don't get sick.
