26.05.2025 21:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We'll kick out the bad actors, we'll gain efficiencies and protect the good installers that maximize benefits for their customers, and we'll strengthen the grid while homeowners have cheap solar electrons filling their batteries.
Finance, customer acquisition, permitting & interconnection,
decrease in $/W install cost we saw a doubling of annual installation volume. This means that when we get the cost down towards that $2/W average, we're bringing on another 3-5X the houses that we're doing now. How fast do we transition if we have 3M homes adding solar + storage? If we have five?
26.05.2025 21:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0more than make up the reduction given by the ITC. By ending the ITC, we have a better chance of removing the bad actors from the industry and driving down costs so that more homeowners can benefit from solar + storage.
A chart I saw once shared by @ramez.bsky.social showed that for every 36%
While I expect to see some reduction in residential solar next year because of the loss of the ITC, I also expect to grow the market as we reduce the cost towards a $2/W national average. We've seen an egregiously bad jump in predatory finance and sales practices in the last several years which

30.03.2025 01:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Everyone keeps talking about cutting government spending but what about government value, like revenue generation and value to the public? I mean there seems to be only slashing spending and no assessment to what value is being cut, what capacity being shrunk, eliminated, etc.

Hey #EnergySky peeps! Who's all here at #Deploy24?
Great time to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and make plans to accelerate deployment of clean energy infrastructure.
While it's great to celebrate the colossal achievement that is the Inflation Reduction Act, we must also recognize that there's still so much left to do. Too often we abdicate to federal government programs, rather than take on the task of pushing from the bottom up.
