It begins to rise into the sky, lit dramatically from above by the column of light. Huge chunks of stone and earth are ripped out from below and travel upward with it. P7: Back to the POV from the first four panels, as the girl and her dad --still smiling-- look up in silence, washed out by the light show off-panel. P8: The girl turns back to her dad and says "so, yes." He immediately talks over her saying "yeah yep." She answers with a "cool" and he goes "okay."

Spooky month

We report: first light, then second, and third, and the morning is finally beginning to come into existence. There is a light drizzle, we think - we have not set foot outside yet. Leaning on the windowsill, we can smell damp, and other, less describable things of autumn.
