Whoops. I told myself that my sexy Igor book needed to stay under 30k words (because it's a sequel to a 27k novella). I have a draft now, and it is 35k. And my books always get a lot longer in editing.

But at least it's weird. Seriously, I cannot stress enough how weird this book is going to be.

Are you staying? I don’t know. Will you let me leave? No. Good. If you hold me here, I’ll stay. But I swear to god, if you ever let me leave again, you might turn around and find that I’m gone.

I was feeling extra grumpy earlier today. Turns out all I needed was to spend a few hours working on a three-way bondage scene about some weirdos that are bad at expressing romantic feelings.

Oh, technically four-way if you count the ghost.

One of the many things I love about you, Igor, is how fascinatingly literal-minded you are.” “I’m literal-minded? Nah, no I’m not. For example, I use metaphors all the time. Metaphors are a great way to add interest and color to your storytelling. I mean, if a literal-minded person heard you talking about ‘the many things I love about you,’ they’d think you actually meant that you love me.” I snorted a laugh.

Look, I'm having a good time, and that's what matters, right?

I never understood why a sequel would ever be longer than the original. Now I'm working on my first sequel, and I have to say, I get it. I'm still determined to cut this story down to size, but I get it. #amwriting
