I'm pretty impressed by 2-years-ago Saira, all the pieces where perfectly tucked and fine, and there was even a bit of space for more things

On the third, the tooled layer is glued to the rest, the pommel is roughly carved in the trapezoidal shape and there is a piece of leather with the final layer of the pommel tooled and still uncut; one of the hilts is facing down showing the back part where the strap will be attached and the stud is placed in the pommel. The three pics behind show the final aspect of the hilts unpainted: a general view of both hilts, one grabbed and one on the cutting mat, a very close up pic of one of the horses neck, the textures of the filigrees and the mane at the external border; and a pic of the corners of the pommels, an almost hidden part from most of viewpoints, with more filigrees carved with a pyrograph

The horse heads, the singularity of the pommel, the filigrees.... One of those designs that haunts my mind and despite it being a challenge it felt like a natural step in my leather skills. It's been 6 months of slow progress in my free time but couldn't be happier with the result

All 5 different parts of the elven leather helm dyed in green, with only the frontal part riveting all the parts together

The two rows of leaves that decorates each side of the helm, the one in the left only marked and cut, with the veins of the leaves tooled but plain. The one in the right is also moulded. Both are still unpainted

All the three rows of leaves (both sides and the one on the forehead) painted in bright yellow, before the different colour shadows applied
