(shelters, RTI etc).
But 'the site is not within a transport contribution zone'; though there's Β£500K contributions for tram (600+m away).
Even with 4 unsheltered bus stops in walking distance, and 0 stops with RTI screens.

Agree the Spurtle's overview is helpful - summarising the discussion at last night's NTBCC meeting.

Of the 1348 documents, over 900 are the objection comments (which the Council's system (un)helpfully includes twice...) - even so, still a huge undertaking for people to assimilate.

"All 1,348 documents associated with this case are available for your reading pleasure here."

I'm delighted I can just read the Spurtle's overview!

This is a good read.
It shows the lack of competence and accountability within @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social planning department.

There was no consideration of local needs, no recent community consultation and no understanding that St Mark's path was an important transport link #Powderhall

What's going to happen when the Playhouse opens up? Even during a normal busy day surely there isn't enough room for people to get through unhindered. The bike track is likely to get swamped!

This CCG construction site is adjacent to Powderhall where me and 300+ families live.

They blocked a busy cycle path here with 72 hrs notice, diverted it through Powderhall onto an unadopted & steep unlit path without speaking to any local residents, and now threaten to keep it closed for 2 yrs!

Almost like they need to reconnect the gyratory island back to its β€œmainland” at the Omni

And have a simple 4-way crossroads at Broughton St and York Place, just as Sustrans proposed before all the 1950s-style motorway nonsense

Got a bad feeling about this and the impact of queues on the busy footway and cycleways here. Particularly the southernmost unit at the corner of the stairs, where the pavement is at its narrowest.

I lived on Raeburn Place from 1995 to 2000 and can’t believe how much the places has changed and is packed with people. Can’t remember any coffee or cake or pastry shops there then. We did have a fantastic Chinese takeaway I still think about though.
