I had fun watching this cub team early, but honestly the last game was like way too much of the second half, no bats.

Just not good enough.

Nice year overall, hope they add a bat and go further next year.

I used to think the cubs owned all the most ridiculous ways to lose games, then I saw Buckner, and said well, he was a Cub after all.

But the Cubs have never lost a series on a pitcher fielding error in extra innings and my heart just goes out to the Phillies fans, that is awful stuff.

I was wrong, baseball will baseball. The cubs got to Peralta and the Brewers did not get to Boyd.

Glad i don't wager on this stuff.

Mason Miller is an elite arm, the exact kind of October difference maker you trade a prospect for. Trading shaw for him would have been great, actually.

None of those three could ever be cubs under this regime.

You can build a decent team without paying stars, but when you get here and lose because the other team has elite talent, and you shopped at five below, you really can't be all that surprised.
