There are a lot of trans men and transmasculine non-binary people who keep their uteruses and have children (I know more than a few, personally). It's not sidelining women to acknowledge that reality and make sure anyone who may be pregnant is included in health recommendations, not just cis women.

I appreciate this post but would like people to understand you can't cure bipolar disorder. Someone can have an episode even while in remission and 100% treatment compliant. A better framing than "recovery" for a condition like bipolar is "management" or "stability."

I have seen a couple other people say it though, which makes me think I'm missing something or maybe misunderstanding where the interpretation is coming from because I don't see it in how MB describes the team. Or maybe it's a fanon idea? I reread ASR a lot and have never noticed it belittling them.

I was responding solely to the idea that ASR era Murderbot describes or views them as stupid or messy. The quotes I pulled are all from ASR. I'm not talking about the TV adaptation or other books. I just saw what you said and was confused by it since I don't understand where it's coming from.

There's a moment where MB discusses that it didn't occur to most of them to abandon the habitat because it had been drilled into them that they shouldn't. Even then I think that moment is centered around MB's positive perception of Mensah and compassion towards the wider team rather than negativity.

Yeah, I don't have an issue with how the humans navigate the unknown on the show. But the idea that book MB thinks the Preservation humans are stupid or messy... I've seen a couple people say that, and I'm not sure where it comes from. Interpersonally especially, the books don't paint that picture.

The show has a lot of divergences and that seems to serve the new angle on the story, but Murderbot has a high opinion of its humans (Mensah especially) in the book so I'm confused about where you're getting this take. It never comments on the stupidity or messiness of the team, more the opposite.

Have never had them, but if they're like hush puppies, maybe cutting them in half, popping in the oven to dry/crisp them up, and some kind of garlic aoili or mustard would help
