These peace markers are dotted around the town where I live.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

The classic meme with Drake (disgusted and then happy) this time celebrating the death of noxious French politician Jean-Marie Le Pen. On the right the same text is repeated: Le Pen dans l'urne, but top image (the negative) shows voting and bottom shows a receptacle for cremated ashes, both meanings for "urne" in French.

Hah!

Such a clever French pun.

What if, instead, it's an important cognitive process?

When I 'produce' a translation, my goal is always to get that first draft to be as polished as possible. It's not just 'this will do'.
