I spend the majority of my time at a computer and drawing tablet working on projects that span months and in some cases years, so it was brilliant to get out and paint this by hand. The store is also gorgeous, and the staff are just so lovely so it was brilliant to spend the day there.

The Portobello Bookshop asked me to paint their summer window earlier this month. And honestly it was a real treat.

Using doom scrolling as a sketch prompt In mid April I was really hating my relationship with social media. I was finding I was wasting a lot of time scrolling, and then feeling really bad about it. It was like I was in search of something ...

I’ve been doom scrolling a lot lately and have decided to turn it into a sketch prompt. I’ve written a longer post about it on Substack if you were interested and wanted to know more.

I was asked to create a cover that showed a landscape that wasn’t of one place in particular but felt Scottish. I created this imagined landscape based off of references and my experience of wandering through the Scottish countryside.

I recently illustrated an 8 page kids activity booklet for EDF Renewables about Raptors.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It’s an eccentric sort of a travel memoir that takes you on a journey exploring the moons meaning in numerous countries and through art, mysticism and literature.

I had a little bit of downtime last week so I mocked up this book cover just for the fun of it. I’ve used dark purple here to convey an all encompassing velvety night and am imaging the moon and it’s reflection being an iridescent foil or a spot uv varnish to give the path of light an ethereal feel.

I got some stickers and postcards made for OFFF Barcelona and still have loads left, because…introversion.
