CCLT is proud to join The Wildfire Solutions Coalition (WSC), a groundbreaking alliance of cross-sector leaders and orgs throughout the state to secure long-term, sustained funding for wildfire mitigation and resilience, and to fully implement California’s Wildfire and Forest Resilience Action Plan.

We are pleased to share that the bill was passed out of the Senate Natural and Water Resources Committee with unanimous support! Thank you to everyone who has supported us this far — now off to the Senate Appropriations Committee!

On Tuesday, CCLT ED Caroline Godkin and Michael Jared from @nature.org provided testimony in support of AB 900, a new bill authored by @asmdianepapan.bsky.social that aims to strengthen and advance the environmental stewardship of conserved lands under California's 30x30 initiative.

In spite of the rain, our Sierra Foothill Conservancy (SFC) McKenzie Preserve field trip was stellar! During our hike, we heard from local experts on unique Preserve features including SFC’s robust Rangeland and Grazing program, fascinating geologic features of McKenzie Preserve and Table Mountain..

Shout-out to the participants for helping to make this a great field trip, despite the rain and cold. Special thanks to the Yosemite National Park staff, Yosemite Conservancy staff, and @savetheredwoods.org for leading the trip.

What a way to kick-off our 2025 Conference! One of this year's field trip opportunities was a tour of the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias in #Yosemite National Park.

Earlier this month, CCLT staff, board members, and representatives from member land trusts spent 2 days visiting CA's Capitol to educate state leaders on the role of land trusts, the implementation of Prop 4, and AB 900 (which CCLT is cosponsoring w/ @nature.org).
