"Where will the water come from? (Aquifer? Lake? Reservoir? River?)"

Our September 2025 newsletter has questions to help determine the #water footprint of planned #DataCenters and #CCS projects.

If you can't get answers, that's important info in its own right.

Researchers can fight these attacks by spreading insights into how fed funded research works, and sharing how we serve the public with the fed dollars we work hard to earn.

Write an op-ed for your local hometown paper to be published June 16! #SciComm #McClintockLetters

Boston University School of Public Health on LinkedIn: With federal research funding cuts looming, SPH's Madeleine Scammellโ€ฆ With federal research funding cuts looming, SPH's Madeleine Scammell discusses her research and the lesser known reasons why NIH funding is so vital toโ€ฆ

Fantastic and clear description of why we need indirect costs to support research that improves health - just think about all of the people and infrastructure needed to safely store blood samples.

Hopefully the cross-post worksโ€ฆ

This is a really important post over on twitter. I'm capturing a few key points in a short ๐Ÿงตhere:

"If the government wants to reduce the indirect rate to 15%, then it needs to do one of these two things:

Iโ€™m glad this is getting broader attention. But letโ€™s dispense with the โ€œresearchers sayโ€ framing. If this cut holds, which applies to ongoing work effective Monday, health research and jobs will be imperiled. Few institutions can absorb this cut without layoffs or other drastic measures.
